Half brothers Julian and Sean Lennon have begun speaking to each other again.
Their reconciliation follows Julian’s eight-year feud with Sean and Sean’s mother, Yoko Ono, the widow of the men’s father, Beatle John Lennon, the New York Post reported.
The rift stemmed from comments Julian made about Yoko Ono, he told the Post. Julian’s mother is John’s first wife, Cynthia.
“I thought it time to make big changes in my own life,” Julian, 44, told the Post in what the paper said was his first interview since 1999. “Part of that has been to get Sean back into my life, because I love him so much.”
After contacting Sean’s tour manager this year, Julian surprised his half brother backstage after a show in Prague. “We just hugged and held each other,” Julian recalled.
Julian joined Sean, 31, on the tour bus, sleeping on the floor and traveling through Croatia and Slovenia, he said. [Y!]

Yoko is not amused
In the “odd but true with a tinge of racism” story of the day, Yoko Ono was reportedly part of a canine-chewing stunt at a London radio station in which gonzo artist Mark McGowan ate cooked pieces of a Corgi, Queen Elizabeth II’s dog of choice. McGowan staged the act to protest the Queen’s husband’s treatment of a fox on a hunt. McGowan went so far as to say that Yoko could only manage a small taste before looking “a bit strange.”
Well, guess what! It was a hoax. How original. Asians eating dog.
Yoko’s reps sent a strongly-worded letter to the Press Association and The Sun, saying, “This allegation is completely untrue and highly defamatory.” The Press Association has already issued an apology and The Sun is expected to follow suit.
Now Yoko will just have to go back to being referred to as “the woman who broke up the Beatles,” rather than “the woman who broke up the Beatles and eats dog.” [TMZ]

Yoko Ono has called for the anniversary of John Lennon’s death to become a worldwide day of forgiveness but said she could not yet absolve her husband’s killer.
“Every year, let’s make December 8 the day to ask for forgiveness from those who suffered the insufferable,” she said in full-page newspaper advertisements.
“To the people who have also lost loved ones without cause: forgive us for having been unable to stop the tragedy.”
“As the widow of one who was killed by an act of violence, I don’t know if I am ready yet to forgive the one who pulled the trigger.
“I am sure all victims of violent crimes feel as I do. But healing is what is urgently needed now in the world.”
Mark Chapman, the obsessed Beatles fan who gunned down Lennon in 1980 outside his New York apartment, remains in jail and was denied parole for a fourth time earlier this year. [Y!]
