DaDump wanted to share with you this article about my “blah blah blog” that came out in the latest issue of Audrey, the Asian American Women’s Lifestyle Magazine, which, so far as I know, my Uncle Rex reads religiously.
It’s a flattering profile. I’m hoping they use a better picture when I make the cover of People’s Sexiest Man Alive issue.
Enjoy the attached article and remember to eat your dumplings regularly even if they clog up your arteries… so bad yet so good - I know DaDump is your dirty little guilty pleasure.
Thanks for all your support! —DailyDumpling.com

Kelly Hu at the Napoleon Perdis Hollywood Flagship Store Opening
For all of you Kelly Hu fans out there, you’ll be happy to hear that she’s had a flurry of activity as of late. On the small screen, you can see her as a former valedictorian turned “Oriental” massage therapist in the series In Case of Emergency. She can also be seen in The Air I Breathe which is looking for distribution but will no doubt get it since its recent debut at the Tribeca Film Festival this past week. She plays a Madam in a strip joint… seeing a theme here? And don’t forget Shanghai Kiss where Kelly plays a woman from Shanghai… don’t think there are any seedy undertones in this role.
In any event, just found out that a buddy of mine came THIS CLOSE to nabbing the role of Kelly’s boyfriend in Shanghai Kiss. His almost brush with fame and, more importantly, brush up against Kelly fell through when they decided to go with an actual actor. DaDump would have consoled him but that would have been gay - not that there’s anything wrong with being gay… So this picture post is for you, B. You coulda been a contendah… now you’ll have to settle for just being an internet millionaire. Oh the humanity!

Apparently, when martial artist and actionstar Jet Li was just a boy, he and his team went to Washington and performed their wushu routine for Nixon, who asked him if he’d like to be his personal bodyguard someday. The cheeky little fella said, “I don’t want to protect any individual. When I grow up, I want to defend my one billion Chinese countrymen!”
That was quite a good answer. Nowadays, it looks like he’s making good on his promise. Jet Li’s an ambassador for Red Cross and he has also established a group called The One Foundation. The organization aims to help provide faster aid for victims of natural disasters in China and also to address adolescent depression and mental illness. [Ecorazzi]
Below is a PSA (Public Service Announcement) Jet did for The One Foundation. Since China is gaining prominence in the world community, follow along and improve your Mandarin with the video below…

Aishwarya Rai and Tiger Woods didn’t do as well but made the list at #28 and #59 respectively.
Bai Ling seen here at the Grand opening of the Stoli Hotel Spa
Bai Ling was at Corio in New York City for their burlesque show and decided to join in. The amorous actress was wearing a tiny cocktail dress and started “seducing” the microphone as the crowd cheered her on. Apparently she was sipping water all night, no alcoholic libations in sight… just goes to show you that Bai’s naturally high on life!
Canadian pop punk princess Avril Lavigne arrived in Hong Kong on Wednesday night and was greeted by once timid fans gone wild. Lavigne is in town to promote The Best Damn Thing and will be here for three days for a performance before hitting Australia.
