The three-year marriage of Salman Rushdie and Padma Lakshmi has ended, their publicists have announced. “Salman Rushdie has agreed to divorce his wife, Padma Lakshmi, because of her desire to end their marriage,” his representative, Jin Auh, said in a statement. Rushdie’s recent British knighthood led to worldwide protests from Muslims angered by his 1989 novel, “The Satanic Verses.” Iran’s late spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, issued a 1989 fatwa, or religious edict, ordering Muslims to kill Rushdie because “The Satanic Verses” allegedly insulted Islam. The threat forced Rushdie to live in hiding for a decade. Lakshmi is the host of “Top Chef” on Bravo and the author of the cookbook “Easy Exotic.” [IHT]

Yeah, like no one saw that divorce coming…. NOT!

#34 Vanessa Minnillo
Maxim Magazine came out with their annual list of the Hot 100 and the usual suspects came in the top 3 including Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba, Jessica Alba, Jessica Alba, and Scarlett Johansson. *Yawn*
Lucky for you, DaDump combed through all 100 to find the ones you care most about… unfortunately Hillary Clinton didn’t make it this year. The good news is that Lucy Liu also didn’t make the list which makes me think that someone over at Maxim actually did their research this year.
Here are two of the Hot 100… check out the other Asian beauties who made the list after the jump!

Not sure what the movie is like though the Dumpling is looking forward to seeing it but the book is excellent.
