Trust me. No, seriously, I’m very trustworthy…

What better way to launch a brand campaign and clean up the seedy image of a city known for triads, corruption, prostitution and general seediness? Why, hire a well known actor best known for his roles as a gangster, gambler and cold blooded killer – DUH!

Hard Boiled, The Killer, The God of Gamblers, A Better Tomorrow… that’s the film resume of someone you want representing the resurgent island enclave of Macau, aka Las Vegas East.

Hotel and casino developer Crown Macau has unveiled it’s ‘Where great things happen’ launch campaign, starring Chow Yun-Fat.

Featuring a 90-second mini-movie, the film follows Chow through a “fantasy journey” through Crown Macau where he encounters Elyse Sewell, a model you might recognize from America’s Next Top Model (DaDump can’t make this stuff up, folks!) as they make their way through an exclusive private villa, some fine dining restaurants and the complex’s spa facility.

That got us thinking… who else would make great spokespersons and for which causes…
How about Tony Soprano and Atlantic City; Michael Jackson and the Boy Scouts; Sanjaya and the Grammy’s; Don Imus and the NAACP; George Bush and the US Presidency…

Utter lunacy I tell ya, c’est fou ca! But alas ‘tis the world we live in…

It’s that time of week, boys and girls… actually more for the boys than the girls but I digress.

DaDump is featuring another hometown beauty with a first name and a last initial, much like Maggie Q, Cara G, Ana R, Amanda S (wonder if my moniker should change to Daily D). This week’s lucky contestant is Ankie B or Ankie Beilke. She is a Hong Kong based model and aspiring actress who recently had a small role in Andrew Lau’s Confession of Pain.

Yeah, that’s about it on the research side. Didn’t really focus on the bio but lucky for you, Daily D did get a few pics for your viewing pleasure. BTW Daily D hates/ loves labels but thinking of deeming Ankie the Jessica Alba of Asia. Thoughts? Enjoy!

Devon Aoki is set to reprise her role as Miho, the ass whoopin’ prostitute in Sin City 2 with Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Clive Owen, Jessica Alba, Jaime King, Mickey Rourke, Brittany Murphy, and Jessica Alba.

For DD, Devon is kinda like that pop song in the Top 40 everyone listens to which you don’t ‘get‘ at first. After the 53rd time hearing it, the song somehow seeps into your sub-conscious until you find yourself humming it and actually liking it. Know what I mean?

Kinda also dig how Devon goes against conventional wisdom…. standing at only 5′2″ hasn’t stopped her from modeling for fashion houses Fendi, Chanel and Versace… her father is Rocky Aoki, owner of Benihana, the successful chain of Japanese restaurants yet her ambitions have taken her into fashion, film and music… far from the classical sense of beauty, Aoki has been romantically linked to Lenny Kravitz and others in the Hollywood and hip hop scene.

DD never thought he’d see the day someone in the entertainment industry, let alone a model, would lie about her age. What is this crazy crazy world coming to! Oh the humanity!

Pinup model Jun Natsukawa admitted on her Internet blog that she was born in September 1980 and is 26 years old, not 23 as she had previously claimed.

Doubts about Natsukawa’s age had surfaced in some news reports, but the model told a different story when she appeared on television, saying, “I’m 23. I’m going to turn 24 in September this year.”

Giving a reason for understating her age, Natsukawa said, “When I moved to my current agency, I changed my name with the intention of beginning a new life. I also strongly wanted support from teenagers, so I made out that I was 19.”

Uh, as a pinup girl, you’re not going to have any trouble getting support or attention from teens… or dirty old men for that matter. Besides, girl, you’re Asian, even when you’re 30, you’ll still look 15, so why lie? Embrace those genes that yo momma and poppa gave ya! If not then at least flaunt those breastages that you paid good money for and no one will care about your age. Buh-leed dat!

Star F***er and Jailbait Predator, Anand Jon, with *surpise, surprise* a star and a very young model

Indian-born designer Anand Jon Alexander, 33, has turned out sexy $300 hand-painted jeans decorated with South Asian motifs and delicately beaded gowns for the likea of Ivanka Trump, Jessica Alba and Paris Hilton. He was profiled in NEWSWEEK’s “Who’s Next for 2007” list of people to watch just last December, was arrested last week in Beverly Hills, Calif., and subsequently charged with a seven-count felony complaint for allegedly sexually assaulting three different women, including a 15-year-old girl. Charges include forcible rape, lewd acts upon a child and attempted forcible oral copulation.

Friends of Anand were surprised to hear the accusations—but not all that surprised. In fact, they say, America’s Next Top Model designer Alexander has shown a creepy interest in much younger women—some of them budding celebrities—for years.

“He always had these really young, super-skinny, waify models hanging around him, thinking he would make them huge stars,” says one former pal. Alexander’s intentions toward the girls, who were often 16 or 17 years old, were ambiguous.

But there was no question, says another friend, that Alexander put a lot of effort into cultivating high school girls for something. “He targets young girls on Facebook and MySpace, under 18 types who are aspiring actresses and models, and tells them that he’ll be able to ‘hook them up’ as long as they stay with him,” the friend says.

To maintain the appearance of influence, she adds, “he’ll go up to every celebrity at a party and introduce himself and try to get their contact info. Afterwards, he’ll be, like, ‘So-and-so was just dying to talk to me.’ He’ll tell everyone who listens that he launched the careers of Paris Hilton and Michelle Rodriguez.” [Radar]

Riyo Mori, a 20-year-old ballet dancer from Shizuoka Prefecture, has been chosen to represent Japan in the Miss Universe Competition.
The pageant’s theme was Casino Finale, and 11 candidates appeared on stage wearing short dresses. In the swimsuit judging section, the models danced as they took off fur coats, showing off La Perla swimsuits.

In the final judging section between five remaining candidates, the models, dressed in Class Roberto Cavalli evening dresses, promoted themselves in front of judges including Bobby Valentine, the manager of the Chiba Lotte Marines baseball team, and model Jessica Michibata.

The editor of Playboy magazine in Indonesia was found guilty and faces a two-year jail term for violating moral norms by publishing pornographic images and stories, while protesters called for him to be hanged.

The Indonesian edition of the magazine, however, did not feature nudity and was not as risque as other magazines on sale in Indonesia.

Two years in the slammer? Hanged?! Wonder what DD would get in Indonesia for his ‘subversive’ dumpling.
