There will be no more kissing scenes by the Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, famous for locking lips with almost all of his female co-stars, earning him the tag of “serial kisser.” Hashmi, 28, said, “I intend not to kiss” in future films. He shot to fame with the 2004 Hindi film “Murder,” where his passionate kissing scenes with Mallika Sherawat caused a stir among cinema viewers. The success of “Murder” propelled him to act in movies like “Aashiq Banaya Aapne” (You Made Me a Lover) and “Zeher” (Poison) where he smooched with a number of actresses. “I was typecast,” Hashmi said while promoting his latest film, “Awarapan” (Craziness), which deals with human trafficking in Southeast Asia. All indications are that Jackie Chan, whom Mallika Sherawat worked with recently in The Myth, was instrumental in getting the actress a role in the Hollywood film, Unveiled.
According to Times of India, the producer of the film, John Lind, has earlier worked with Chan in Shanghai Noon and when asked whether it was Jackie who recommended Mallika, he merely smiled, saying, “I can’t reveal that. But yes, I have worked with Jackie in Shanghai Noon, and all those associated with Mallika have had good things to say about her.”
Lind claims that it was when he and director Bill Bannerman saw Mallika at the Cannes Film Festival that they zeroed in on her.
“We saw how popular she was at the festival, and that helped us decide on our leading lady,” says Lind. Mallika of course, pretended to be mock-surprised at the news.
…who wouldn’t be popular in southern France looking like that!

Sultry Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat will play the role of a Muslim woman in her second Hollywood film Unveiled to be directed by Bill Bannerman.
Sherawat made her Bollywood debut in 2002 and had a small role in the 2005 Hollywood film The Myth starring Jackie Chan where she played an Indian princess. She has also acted in around 10 Bollywood films.
Unveiled revolves around the life of a Muslim woman who has two husbands and a lover. It will be a blend of film noir, thriller and dark drama.
