Actor Chang Chen to Star in Kim Ki-duk’s “Breath”
November 19th, 2006 by ddIt has been announced that Taiwanese actor Chang Chen will star in Korean auteur Kim Ki-duk’s upcoming love story “Breath”.
The film, Kim’s 14th, sees him working with a foreign actor for the first time and follows Chang as a prison inmate who falls in love with the woman who decorates his cell.
Needless to say, in Kim’s usual style the film will be a minimalist affair, heavy on symbolism and light on dialogue.
Chang is best known to viewers for his roles in “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” and “Eros”, and other high profile releases. The rest of the cast is currently being decided, with Kim considering a mixture of Chinese and Korean performers. [Cri]
