Kelly Hu showed up at the Taurus World Stunt Awards on the Paramount Pictures lot on Sunday night in Los Angeles. Here she is looking stunning as usual and although DaDump realizes the need and importance of double sided sticky tape to help keep her modest, I’m still upset at its existence.
In any event, while the primary aim of the event was to honor the “elite professionals of the stunt community,” the cameras and attention seemed to focus on the big name stars who attended including of Jessica Alba, Elisha Cuthbert and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The show is set to be broadcast on AMC in the US this Friday at 1030pm.

This has nothing to do with anything; just a hot pic of Kelly
Hawai’i’s Kelly Hu, who plays a massage parlor girl on the sitcom In Case of Emergency, will be showing off her skills next month. Her driving skills.
Hu is one of 19 stars who will be competing in the Toyota/Pro Celebrity Race as part of the 33rd Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 14. She’s listed as a 10 to 1 favorite to win the charity event by Hollywagers.com. The 10-lap race for charity is a 1.97-mile street circuit through the downtown streets of Long Beach in Southern California.
If she cuts anyone off or slows down the other racers by lagging in the passing lane, the Dumpling is sure no one will be rolling their eyes at this Asian female beauty.

Kelly Hu co-stars in a new TV comedy called “In Case of Emergency”. The premise is that three high school chums 20 years later — plus the fallen class valedictorian — find themselves at personal crossroads, thus becoming each others’ “in case of emergency” on applications.
Kelly plays a massage parlor attendant who feigns a Pidgin English accent upon being recognized by a former classmate then flees from her crazy jealous boyfriend in a snug t-shirt that reads, “You had me at Shalom”.
Haven’t seen the show nor heard much buzz about it. Jonathan Silverman is in it so I’m guessing it sucks. Whatever, that t-shirt cracks me up.

Afro Samurai is a new animated five-part series on Spike TV. It oozes cool. The title is cool, Samuel Jackson, who voices the main character defines cool, and Kelly Hu… well, she’s actually hot but that’s cool too.
In it, Afro (voiced by Jackson), is seeking revenge on Justice (voiced by Ron Perlman), who killed his father. It takes place in a black-orange post-apocalyptic landscape, overseen by an enormous statue of the Buddha. Sensibilities clash early on as Christian gravestones emerge from the desertlike earth. “Afro Samurai” is not for the faint-hearted. It’s about swords, guns, machines, thugs and monks with tinges of “Superfly,” with guns and funk.
Kelly Hu plays Okiku. No idea what she does. Don’t really care either.

Kelly Hu was back home in Honolulu recently to shoot an episode of the NBC show Las Vegas and also do media promos for a December fundraiser she co-hosted for Reef Check Hawai’i.
The Vonage’s Run with the Reefs fundraiser was held in conjunction with the Honolulu Marathon as a luau at the Sheraton Waikiki. Kelly was scheduled to co-host the event with Olympian Carl Lewis. Luau special guests were to also include Maggie Q, Christian Campbell, Kelly Slater, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jason Scott Lee, Lisa Ling and Rob Schneider.

Honolulu-born actress Kelly Hu, 38, finished the Honolulu Marathon in just under five hours, and raised $40,000 for her charity, Reef Check Hawai’I, an organization involved in restoring and maintaining coral reef health.
As pre-race preparation the night before, Kelly skipped the U2 concert she had planned to attend and instead cooked dinner for “In Case of Emergency” co-star Jonathan Silverman because he had offered $20,000 to her charity.
Asked if she would do the 26 mile course again, she responded “Right now I’m on a high and I’m tempted to say ‘yes’ only because I’m full of adrenaline right now. Ask me tomorrow.”
