The Dumpling’s Love Hate Relationship with Technology and Bernice Liu
January 12th, 2007 by ddThe Dumpling loves technology… except when it doesn’t work.
Case in point: Last night the Hong Kong Landmark Mandarin Oriental was hosting a cocktails event for its Oriental Spa. Free flowing champagne, paparazzi, models everywhere… Dumpling Heaven! After way too many glasses of champagne, they announced that Bernice Liu would perform a couple of songs only to be joined later by actor, Michael Wong.
The Drunken Dumpling had to see what all the fuss was about with Bernice having never seen her in person and went up to the stage to record Bernice singing Whitney Houston’s “Greatest Love of All”. She wasn’t a bad singer although it could have easily passed for a karaoke rendition and, yes, she’s very attractive. Speaking of which, Christy Chung was there too looking absolutely stunning in a short, form fitting dress. She left before the Dumpling could embarrass himself.
This morning after waking up with a massive hangover, the Dumpling tried to download the video of Bernice singing only to lose that and all its pictures too. F***!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, it was a very bad day technology wise. So from now on, the Dumpling is bringing his camera so as not to miss out on these occasions. Keep checking back to see who shows up!
In the meantime, Bernice is returning to TV after taking some time off. Her latest series is The Brink of Law now playing in Hong Kong. She is currently on location for her next series, The Entire City Dances.
