Tiger Woods, 31, Woods introduced his and wife Elin’s 1-week-old daughter Sam Alexis Woods on his official website, www.tigerwoods.com.
“We’re still getting settled at home and it’s important to be there for my family,” Tiger said in a personal statement last week. “I look forward to playing next year. Both are healthy and happy. I can’t describe how wonderful it is to be a father. This is something I dreamed about and I’m enjoying every minute. It’s a good thing I don’t need much sleep.”

Amerie has always expressed an interest in recording with a Korean artist, the country where she was born. In fact, Amerie was such a fan of Seven that she personally chose him for the single.
Seven said, “With my American debut ahead of me, I’m so happy that I was able to work with a star like Amerie. I was given compliments on my vocals so I felt good.”
This should also help Seven gain greater exposure in the US market which he is in the process of also ‘taking control’ of.

American pop star Amerie, who is of partial Korean descent, will give her first concert in Korea May 24-25 in Seoul. The title of the concert is “2007 Amerie Love Korea Live Concert.”
K2M Entertainment, the organizer of the concert, said Amerie’s concert is being sponsored by Pearl S. Buck International Korea, the foundation for people of mixed heritage, and all proceeds from the concert will be donated to the foundation.
The agency also added that Amerie will visit the foundation to give hope to children of mixed heritage, like herself, and will invite children from underprivileged families to her concert as VIPs.
Amerie, who debuted in 2002 with the song “All I Have,” gained enormous popularity for her 2005 album “Touch,” earning the nickname “the darkhorse of American R&B.”
During her visit, the singer will give interviews, meet with journalists and hold autograph-signing events.

Simmons was on hand Friday in Los Angeles to celebrate KLS with a dinner, fashion show and after-party at Social Hollywood alongside her new boy-toy man, Djimon Honsou. Apparently they’re still going strong after having met at an Oscar party last month.

In an effort to be all things to all people (DD should run for political office), DailyDumpling wanted to do a posting on Blasians or Afro-Asians, those who are of mixed Black and Asian ancestry. Since this is meant to be an entertainment destination, DD won’t get into the social ramifications of the Blasian Hapa identity in America or abroad and how the dynamic is different from other types of Hapas. Nope, no way, staying far away from that fun discussion.
Instead, the Dumpling is going a different direction and pondering the age old debate of these two ancient proverbs:
“Once you’ve had black, you’ll never go back” and
“Once you’ve had Asian, it’s the only persuasion”
Well, now you the term for when you combine the two! Alright, now a test. See if you can name the stars below who are Blasian and of what ethnic Asian persuasion they’re from. Those who answer everything correctly win nothing except the gratification of knowing that you have less of a life than DD.
