Fact or Myth: Jackie Chan Lends Mallika Sherawat a Helping Hand

All indications are that Jackie Chan, whom Mallika Sherawat worked with recently in The Myth, was instrumental in getting the actress a role in the Hollywood film, Unveiled.
According to Times of India, the producer of the film, John Lind, has earlier worked with Chan in Shanghai Noon and when asked whether it was Jackie who recommended Mallika, he merely smiled, saying, “I can’t reveal that. But yes, I have worked with Jackie in Shanghai Noon, and all those associated with Mallika have had good things to say about her.”
Lind claims that it was when he and director Bill Bannerman saw Mallika at the Cannes Film Festival that they zeroed in on her.
“We saw how popular she was at the festival, and that helped us decide on our leading lady,” says Lind. Mallika of course, pretended to be mock-surprised at the news.
…who wouldn’t be popular in southern France looking like that!
