Tiger Woods on the Prowl in Asia
November 9th, 2006 by ddTiger Woods is ending his self imposed sabbatical in Shanghai this week at Asia’s richest golf tournament, HSBC Champions. Having not played a competitive round since October 1 when he won the World Golf Championship outside London, Tiger will be wrapping up the 2006 season with a two-week stay in Asia. His next stops include Japan’s Dunlop Phoenix and Hawaii’s Grand Slam of Golf before heading back to California.
On a side note, did you know that he’s on the cusp of being golf’s first billionaire player? Varying accounts have his on and off the field earnings totaling the billion dollar mark by 2010-2013. Woods’ recent announcement that he’ll be designing golf courses through his Tiger Woods Design should help accelerate those estimates. Oh and he’s only 30…
